Benjamin M. Norman
A proud native of New Orleans, Benjamin received his M.F.A. in Lighting Design and Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi. His career has taken him around the country from Louisiana to New York. Notable credits include: The Flea Theater, Inside the Actors Studio, Blue Man Group and Walt Disney World.
Benjamin's career has afforded him the opportunity to not just develop as a designer and entertainment technician, but to explore other aspects of theatre such as: performance, directing, script analysis, and stage combat. He believes his experience has been essential in becoming a more complete artist.
His lighting and sound designs have been recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival and he received scholarships to study at the Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas in 2013 and 2015.
Benjamin is currently the Technical Director and Lighting Designer for Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA where he teaches coursework in Stagecraft, Lighting Design, Sound Design, and Stage Combat.
