Benjamin M. Norman
A proud native of New Orleans, Ben earned his M.F.A. in Lighting Design and Technology from the University of Southern Mississippi. His career has taken him across the country, from Louisiana to New York, with notable credits including work at The Flea Theater, Inside the Actors Studio, Blue Man Group, and Walt Disney World.
Ben’s diverse career has allowed him to grow not only as a designer and entertainment technician but also to explore other aspects of theatre, including performance, directing, and stage combat. He believes that these experiences have been essential in refining his collaborative design skills.
His lighting and sound designs have been recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival, and he was awarded scholarships to study at the Stagecraft Institute of Las Vegas in 2013 and 2015.
Ben currently serves as the Associate Director for the Columbia Theatre in Hammond, LA, where he oversees all aspects of events and productions within its walls.
